
A licensed psychologist (PSY 3704) with a private therapy practice in Oakland, California Dr. Roffers received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He has served on the faculty at the University of California, Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and Saint Mary’s College of California where he trained masters and doctoral level therapists for over twenty years.
Dr. Roffers trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at the Institute of Rational Living with Albert Ellis. He trained with Roger Callahan in Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and later with Asha Clinton in Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT).
Dr. Roffers was one of the first professionals to be trained in Advanced Integrative Therapy. He served as Director of Training and assisted in developing the training program for AIT teachers throughout the United States. He continues an independent practice in Oakland, California.
